This type of figure results from the weaving together of wood fibers strengthening the area
around major limbs and branches. The tree must exceed 200 years old to produce this beautiful figuring and is only found in
western United States, consequently very rare. All solid 3/4" thick Claro Crotch Walnut, Gaboon
and Macassar Ebony trim, dovetail construction, Brusso quadrant hinges, high quality lock, makes this keepsake box something
to love and display as a family heirloom for many generations. 12 coats of acrylic lacquer, sanded and buffed to musical instrument
quality. The Latin name for Macassar Ebony is Diospryus celibica. Diospyros, in Latin, originally meant
“fruit of the God’s” and is referenced in Ezekiel 27:15. A wood of great importance World wide that has
been used by many Kings.
